2027 ISS and GL Proxy Advisory Firm Updates
Over the last two weeks, both ISS and Glass Lewis have released updates for the 2027 Proxy Season. Overall, there are only minor changes to the ISS voting policy, and the Glass Lewis policy is essentially unchanged from 2026 even though we are still expecting the new “Four Perspectives” to be introduced at some point in 2027. Below are summaries of the changes and updates to each Proxy Advisor’s road map for future policy development

Glass Lewis’ 2026 Proxy Voting Policy Updates
On December 4, 2025, Glass Lewis released its 2026 Benchmark Policy Guidelines for Canada. Laurel Hill has summarized these changes here, including policy updates and clarifying amendments, which will take effect for all meetings held during the 2026 calendar year.
